Shipton-under-Wychwood's National Village Knockout Cup semi-final against Rowledge was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. The tie was originally scheduled to be played in Surrey this weekend but will now be staged in West Oxfordshire on Sunday, 22 August. The heavy rain may prove good news for Shipton, as they are unbeaten at home in the tournament in 15 years. Shipton are previous winners of the competition in 2002 and 2003. The competition is seen by most to be the pinnacle of amateur cricket in England. BBC Oxford will have a reporter at the rescheduled game on Sunday and regular updates will accompany the sports news throughout the afternoon.
