Oxfordshire's leading wicket-taker Keith Arnold has announced his retirement from the Minor Counties cricket side. The 50-year-old was recalled for the recent defeat by Cornwall but has decided to make his retirement permanent because of injuries. "The mind is willing but the body says no," Arnold told BBC Oxford. "The last game I had a hamstring tweak and thought this isn't really fair on the rest of the lads." He added: "It's time really, it is a tough decision but one I maybe should have made at the end of the last season. The decision to call time on a county career which began with a debut in 1979 is one that Arnold admits comes with great sadness. "I got quite emotional about it. It has hit me that I will miss it a great deal. There have been many terrific memories but what I will miss the most is just being with the lads."
