Shipton-under-Wychwood, twice winners of the National Village tournament, are through the semi-finals after victory over Troon. In their quarter-final game, they beat the Cornish champions by 66 runs to edge closer to a return to Lord's. Andrew Hemming continued his fine form with 137 runs, and stand-in skipper Steve Bates hit 70. Shipton recorded a total of 262-2 with Troon finishing on 217-7 from their 40 over stint. The Oxfordshire side will now face Surrey champions Rowledge on Sunday, 15 August.
