Finedon Dolben managed to beat the bad weather and claim a vital victory over Wollaston in the Northants League. Chris Goode's team were Saturday's only winners in the Premier Division as heavy showers ruined the remainder of the league programme. Finedon's seven-wicket success leaves them 33 points clear at the top of the table as nearest rivals Peterborough and Northampton Saints only drew. Fourth-placed Old Northamptonians were also washed out at home to Rushden. Meanwhile, Horton House suffered a 113-run defeat at the hands of Earls Barton in Division One. But they still closed the gap slightly on leaders Geddington, whose home match against Desborough was abandoned without a ball bowled.
