Northampton Town were left frustrated as they failed to break down a stubborn Accrington Stanley.
Billy McKay should have given the Cobblers the lead when he was put through on goal but he failed to beat Ian Dunbavin.
And Mckay also shot straight at the Stanley keeper after Kevin Thornton picked him out.
Accy failed to trouble Oscar Jansson in the Northampton goal and were relieved to return home with a point.
Northampton boss Ian Sampson told BBC Radio Northampton: "Credit Accrington they came and strung five across midfielder and made it very difficult for us.
"We needed our wide players to play like they did on Tuesday night but they didn't reproduce the quality.
"When you get a clear cut chance like we did in the second half we would have put money on Billy [McKay] scoring but unfortunately he didn't."
