Finedon stay ahead in Northants League title race

Cricket

Leaders Finedon Dolben kept their lead in the Northants League's Premier Division after the top four teams all won again on Saturday.

Finedon seamer Will Sneath claimed 7-43 to help dismiss Rushton for 159 and the defending champions went on to complete a comfortable six-wicket victory.

They are now seven points clear of second-placed Northampton Saints, who beat Stony Stratford by 35 runs.

Peterborough, Old Northamptonians, Wollaston and Rushden also won.

Geddington replaced Horton House at the top of Division One, courtesy of a five-wicket success at Earls Barton.

And Brigstock were bowled out for just 11 - a new Northants League record - by the Second Division's runaway leaders Oundle Town.
