Finedon retained their lead in the Northants League after Saturday's six-wicket victory over Wellingborough. The bottom club could only manage 184-9 and Finedon - chasing a ninth title in 12 seasons - knocked off the runs with more than 20 overs to spare. Finedon are now 22 points clear of Peterborough, who chased down 313 to beat Brixworth by five wickets. The next three sides in the table - Northampton Saints, Old Northamptonians and Rushton - also won. Elsewhere, the Northamptonshire Academy team claimed a two-wicket victory in a close contest with Stony Stratford at Campbell Park. Geddington have replaced Horton House at the top of Division One after beating Wellingborough Indians by five wickets.
