Green has made just nine league starts for Posh

Peterborough United winger Dominic Green has joined Rushden & Diamonds on loan for a month.

The 21-year-old left-sided midfielder has scored twice in 31 appearances for Posh since arriving from Dagenham & Redbridge in 2008.

He spent three months of last season on loan at Chesterfield, finding the net twice in 10 games.

Diamonds boss Justin Edinburgh told the club website: "He's a left winger but he can play up front too."

He added: "He hit the scene pretty quickly at Dagenham and Peterborough snapped him up. He's pacy, he's left footed which gives us that balance.

"He's got an eye for goal and gives us another option up front or out wide if we play a 4-4-2."
