Division two leaders St John make it six straight wins

St John beat second-placed Aztec Springfield by seven runs to go 17 points clear at the top of the NatWest Evening League Division Two.

The leaders made 182-3, with Mark Chipperfield making 53 not out, but despite Peter Osmond's 50 Springfield could only reach 175-5.

G4S are 9 points behind in third after a 10-run win over Lutea Mavericks.

Meanwhile NatWest move above Centurian Aces into fifth after beating them by 7 wickets with two overs to spare.

In the only top-flight match, Ashburton consolidate fourth place in Division One after a 14-run win over bottom club St Helier RFC.
