Aztec Springfield booked a Sid Guy cup final clash against St John with a 10-run semi-final win over Jersey Post. Springfield made 116-5 in their 12 overs, with Post being restricted to 106-6, despite 44 from Nigel Crocker. In the JEP Knockout Trophy second round, an unbeaten 113 for State Street's John Wolnough was in vain, as St. Ouen won by 27 runs. Elsewhere, St John defeated Hautlians by 18 runs and Beeches beat NatWest by nine wickets. St Ouen rattled up 219-4 in their win, which included an unbeaten 99 by Mark Tribe and 63 from Michael Ahier. Wolnough's century helped State Street to 192-5, by far the evening's biggest losing reply. Half-centuries for both Jon Evans (55) and Barney Sweeney (53no) saw St John reach 152-5 in their 15 overs before Hautlians were limited to 134-6, Phil Ahier making 42. Beeches had the easiest evening, restricting NatWest to 115-8 (Karl Le fevre 47, James Faudemer 3-21) and then reaching their total with the loss of just one wickets, Hannes Botha unbeaten on 60.
