Rathbones OV's have moved top of Division One in Jersey's Natwest Evening Cricket League after beating Ashburton by three runs on Thursday. Rathbones scored 130-8 in 14 overs, with 43 not out from Johnny Gough, before restricting Ashburton to 127-9. Walkovers are now second following a five wicket win over St Helier RFC, who have now lost their opening two games. In Thursday's other fixture, Beeches picked up their first win, beating Jackson Fox Hautlians by 34 runs. Walkovers' victory came after they chased down St Helier's target of 132 with just five balls to spare, helped by Sam Dewhurst's 32. Beeches' win was not so tight. After scoring 122-7 in 12 overs, they restricted Hautlians to 88-6.
