Matt Hague returns to the Jersey cricket team |
The Jersey Cricket board has named their squad for next week's Inter-insular clash against Guernsey. The 12-man squad, captained by Ryan Driver, will include Matt Hague and Tony Carlyon. The pair had retired from Jersey cricket after the ICC Division Four tournament in Tanzania last year. Jersey coach Craig Hogan told BBC Radio Jersey: "It's the best 12 [players we can pick] on current form and is very strong in all departments." He added: "It's an excellent squad and I think you look at the strength of your squad on those that missed out, and we've got a lot of really good players that aren't playing." The Senior Cricket Inter-insular takes place next Saturday 8 August in Guernsey.
Jersey Cricket squad to face Guernsey: Ryan Driver (captain), Peter Gough (vice captain), Hannes Botha, Tony Carlyon, Andy Dewhurst, Sam Dewhurst, Jonny Gough, Mat Hague, Anthony Kaye, Bobby Minty, Dean Morrison, Ben Stevens.
