An unbeaten century from Alec Swann was not enough to earn Northampton Saints a victory over Northants Academy. Swann made 112 not out in Saints' innings of 215-9, having being set 249 to win at Campbell Park. Saints lost top spot to Peterborough, who hammered Old Northamptonians by eight wickets. Third-placed Finedon had to settle for a draw against Rushton, while Desborough remain bottom of the table after a draw against Rushden. Strugglers Brixworth drew with Burton Latimer, while former Zimbabwe international Dion Ebrahim hit an undefeated 120 for Stony Stratford but still finished on the losing side, as Wollaston reached their target of 237 in the final over.
