York stay one point clear of Barnsley at the top of the Yorkshire Premier League after rain washed out the whole of the day's fixture programme. York reached 116-1 after 25.2 overs of their game against Scarborough at Clifton Park before the heavens opened. York's Dan Wilson added another 60 to extend his advantage as the League's top run scorer this season. That leaves him with less than 220 runs to reach his 1,000 for the season, while his team stay top with 58 points. Barnsley, whose game against Harrogate was abandoned without a ball being bowled, are second on 57, five points clear of third-placed Scarborough (52). Bottom club Harrogate will be far happier with their three points than Barnsley who were expected to win. Most of the other games got under way, but were prematurely ended when the rain started moving north and east across the county. Next week York go to mid-table Sheffield United, Scarborough entertain local rivals Driffield, while Harrogate have another tough one at home to Hull.
