Collins and Chanderpaul celebrate another wicket for West Indies

West Indies have a great chance to beat South Africa in the first Test after reducing the tourists to 85-2 in their second innings, still 270 behind.

One whole day remains for the West Indies bowlers to take the remaining eight wickets on a wearing pitch.

Pedro Collins snared the key wicket of South African skipper Graeme Smith, bowling him off his inside edge for 34, just before stumps on Sunday night.

Fellow opener AB de Villiers had been bowled by Reon King after making 20.

South Africa had forced to follow on in their chase to overhaul the West Indies' total of 543-5 declared, after collapsing to 188 all out in their first innings.

Jacques Rudolph is still there on 19, having been dropped twice, and Jacques Kallis is new to the crease, on one.

In Sunday's morning session, Windies pacemen King, Collins and Daren Powell and Collins all struck as South Africa added 58 runs from their last four wickets.

Nicky Boje (34) and Mark Boucher (41) had patiently taken their seventh-wicket partnership to 63 on the fourth morning after play began 30 minutes early.

But King got the breakthrough with an inswinger which bowled Boje through the gate.

Makhaya Ntini collected two boundaries before he played across the line to fall lbw to Powell.

Three overs later Collins claimed Boucher, Shivnarine Chanderpaul holding on at slip.

Finally, Charl Langeveldt (10) hit a full-toss from off-spinner Narsingh Deonarine straight to Ryan Hinds at cover.

After the follow-on had been enforced, Smith and de Villiers put on 46 runs in 35 overs of stonewalling.

Finally, de Villiers edged onto his stumps and Smith then fell to a brilliant late-swinging delivery from Collins, who could be the key man on Monday.

But the left-armer said he did not relish bowling at Bourda.

He said: "I wouldn't want to bowl here too often, it's very slow and you don't get much sideways movement."
