South Africa consigned the West Indies to their first ever one-day series whitewash on home soil, winning the final game by seven wickets.
In a match reduced to 20 overs per side by the rain in Trinidad, the home side posted a modest total of 138-7, Dwayne Bravo top-scoring with an unbeaten 41.
In reply, the visitors eased to their target with five balls to spare, Mark Boucher hitting the winning boundary.
Boeta Dippenaar was the mainstay of the South African innings with 61 not out.
The 27-year-old struck five fours and a stunning six over long-off from 47 deliveries.
AB de Villiers got the visitors' chase off to a flying start as he smashed a quick 30 before he was caught by Brian Lara off seamer Ian Bradshaw.
Jacques Kallis (18) and Justin Kemp (8) were dismissed cheaply but Dippenaar and Boucher, who finished on 16 not out, guided South Africa to a 5-0 series victory.
Wicket-keeper Boucher provided the winning runs as he cracked a looping shot to the boundary.
West Indies had been put into bat at the Queen's Park Oval and Chris Gayle weighed in with 28 to give the home side hope.
But Kallis kept the runs at bay, his two overs in the rain-affected encounter going for just eight runs.
Andre Nel and Andrew Hall both claimed two West Indies wickets.
