Guilbert said both fighters lost in close bouts to tough opponents |
Two Guernsey boxers went out in the first round of the Western Counties Amateur Boxing Association Championships at the weekend. Tom Duff came unstuck against Frome's Mike Rose in Bristol, the tournament favourite who is expected to turn professional at the end of the year. Meanwhile James Woolnough lost in a split decision to Dan Sarkozi. Coach Graham Guilbert said: "It was a very, very close bout - it could have gone either way." He added: "Tom's bout was close too, there was only a few points in it."
