Jennings won the deciding bout of the night

Guernsey's boxers beat their counterparts from County Tyrone after a top-of-the-bill decider at Beau Sejour on Saturday.

Matt Jennings was the victor in the deciding bout after Denver Jardine's corner threw the towel in.

Senior coach Graham Guilbert said the support from the crowd was a crucial factor in the result.

Guilbert said: "The Irish team manager said he'd never been to a venue like it, not even at pro-shows."

Guilbert added: "He was amazed, for a little island, at the talent of Guernsey boxing."
