Guernsey rower Margi Jorgensen won two silver medals at the 2009 World Coastal Rowing Championships in Plymouth. The island's top female rower put in a fantastic performance to finish second in the ladies' singles behind Ireland's Monika Dukarska on Saturday. She was also runner-up in the ladies' masters singles final on Sunday. In the men's fours, Team FRM were in contention for a bronze medal before dropping back to finish fifth in the face of extremely rough weather. There was victory though for Team FRM in the men's masters quads, while Tim Prout finished fourth, just a few seconds outside the medals, in the men's masters singles final.
