Jennings topped the bill

Guernsey boxer Matt Jennings put his recent troubles behind him by winning the deciding bout to take victory over the Western Counties at the weekend.

In a fierce battle over three rounds he beat Lithuanian Valentin Bumbul by unanimous decision.

Jennings' victory gave the Amalgamated Boys Club a 5-4 overall win over the visitors.

It was Jennings' first bout after a suspension for being in possession of recreational drugs.
