Head said preparations were almost complete for the event on 29 August

The 2010 Guernsey marathon has attracted interest from athletes all over the world, says race director Peter Head.

The annual marathon is set to take place on Sunday, 29 August and Head said that preparations for the event were almost complete.

"We've got a lot of foreign entrants this year," he said.

"And not just from the UK, but from Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, America and Ireland."
