Johnny Thewlis claimed his second Guernsey Half Marathon win on Sunday, finishing the race in one hour, nine minutes and 41 seconds. The Nottingham University student beat over 200 other competitors to regain the title he first won in 2008. Aldershot's Jonathon Hay was the runner-up with Guernsey's Steve Dawes in third. Fellow Aldershot resident Steph Twell was the first women to finish the 13.1 mile course in 1:11:56. The event was the longest distance in the Guernsey Easter Running Festival, a four day event that featured a 10km road race, a four-and-three-quarters-mile cross country and a team relay cross country across 8 miles.
