Tim Coates was the first finisher in Guernsey's ninth RG Falla quarter marathon on Sunday. The event, which raises money for the charity Help A Guernsey Child, attracted over 260 runners, an increase of more than 100 from last year's race. In near perfect running conditions, Coates stormed home in an impressive time of 38 minutes and 20 seconds. In the women's race, Michaela de Vial was the first finisher, crossing the line in 47 minutes.
