Guernsey Judo Club swept the boards at the Channel Island Junior Judo Championships, taking 13 of the 15 gold medals available. In the boys draw, Guernsey only missed out on the gold medal in the under-27 and under-50 kg categories. Jersey were unable to send any girls to the tournament so the four Guernsey girls fought it out in a round robin. Charlotte Martel won the U-32 kg event, while Karma Bougourd of the Guernsey Judo Club landed the Open Category. Guernsey's winners in the boys event event were Leon Gillott, Sonny Dorey, Howard Joyce, Cody Dorey, Remi Dorey, Joseph Marcham, Peter Childs, Michael Goodwin, Louis Plevin, Alexander Bird and Callum Williams. In the three-way tournament for Senior Men, the 13-strong Royal Navy and Royal Marine squad, led by the current British heavyweight number one Chris Sherrington, retained the John Manual Trophy.
