Mercier wins third challenge race

Mark Mercier claimed victory in the third stage of the OSA All Terrain Challenge on Monday.

The Hill Climb from Telegraph Bay to the top of Jerbourg is the shortest stage of the week-long event, but one of toughest.

Mercier collapsed to the ground after crossing the line in one minute 55 seconds before recovering satisfied with his winning run.

Mike Batiste also broke the two minute barrier coming in second.

Overall leader Steve Dawes, who placed third with a time of two minutes and one second, admitted this stage is not his best event.
