Garland was disappointed with his run in Loughborough (BBC) |
Dale Garland's bid to make the Olympic Games ended in failure as he ran 47.4 seconds over 400 metres in Loughborough in his last-chance to make the grade. It was about a second slower than he had hoped and Garland was understandably disappointed on missing out on going to Beijing. "I came out after my injury hoping I hadn't lost any fitness but basically I had," Garland told BBC Guernsey. "Barring a miracle I'm not going to the Olympics," he added.
