Englishman Martin Groves was the overall fastest driver in the National Hill Climb Championships on Saturday. Groves recorded a time of 28.25 seconds on the Val De Terres course. The 35-year-old said it involved "catching the car when it slides and just trying to keep it pointing in the right direction". Islanders took four of the top twelve fastest times - Paul Buckingham and Nick Saunders between them recorded four of the top times.
