Rigby will represent the Isle of Man at the Island Games in June |
Isle of Man archer Aalin George shot her first ever Grand Master Bowman Classification score in her opening outdoor event of the season on Sunday. George shot a personal best of 1349 in the ladies compound to win the junior class and finish fifth overall. Sarah Rigby, the only Manx archer to hold GMB status, finished one place behind George with the same score. Rigby told BBC Isle of Man: "We were both delighted to start our outdoor seasons with such great scores." She added: "We've been pushing each other throughout the winter indoor season and it looks like it's paying off." The duo will both contest the Archery GB National series which starts in May as well as representing the Isle of Man at the Island Games in June. George, who was named Archery GB's Young Archer of the Year for 2010 , will also represent Great Britain at the European and World Championships later this year.
