Aalin and Charlotte George were both winners at the Isle of Man Indoor Archery Championships on Sunday.

Aalin won a thrilling ladies compound competition on count back after finishing on the same score as fellow Commonwealth Games archer Sarah Rigby.

Meanwhile, older sister Charlotte set a new Manx record of 554 to claim her fifth indoor title in the recurve.

She finished 106 points ahead of Barbara Harris with Anne Rutland a close third.

The standard of competition was fantastic and bodes well for the Island Games

Tony Hartley dominated the men's recurve event, finishing 48 points ahead of an injury-hit Dave Berry and Colin Moore, while Peter Mumford won the men's compound competition by just two points from Alan George.

The action in the junior competition was fierce with Adam Wright and Alison Crowe both setting personal bests to win the recurve titles.

Isle of Man coach, Peter Mumford told BBC Isle of Man: "It was a very high standard, which is great news ahead of the Island Games in June.

"We should be making our team selection in April but we need to wait for the outdoor season to get underway before any decisions are taken," he added.

Aalin George, who was named Archery GB's Young Archer of the Year for 2010 , will also represent Great Britain at the European and World Championships, later this year.
