Aalin George set an unofficial Manx Record on Monday |
The Manx trio of Sarah Rigby, Aalin George and Adrian Bruce have become the first-ever to compete at the Commonwealth Games. All three began with a seeding round on Monday, before the main competition gets underway on Tuesday. In the ladies competition, 14-year-old George set a unofficial Manx record of 670 points, placing her 20th. Rigby is 28th with a score of 658, while Bruce scored 634 to sit 43rd in the men's competition. Aalin George is the youngest competitor in the Manx team and coach Peter Mumford was thrilled with her performance. "Aalin shot really well and I'm really pleased with her," he said. "Sarah and Adrian are a little disappointed, but they are looking forward to starting with a clean sheet tomorrow." Monday's scores will determine who they shoot against in Tuesday's matches.
