Crutchlow happy to finish 'crazy race' Isle of Man resident Cal Crutchlow finished eighth in Sunday's incident-packed MotoGP in Jerez and then said it was the craziest race of his life. Starting ninth on the grid, Crutchlow revelled in the tricky conditions and had moved into fifth after a crash-strewn opening to the race. The 26-year-old had one eye on a first MotoGP podium when he crashed his Tech 3 Yamaha in pursuit of Nicky Hayden. "It was a crazy race but I enjoyed it a lot," he said. "I went from 10th to fifth to going for the podium and then crashed and I still finished eighth, which is one place better than I started. "I'm really looking forward to Estoril already." The race was eventually won by the 2010 champion Jorge Lorenzo. The Spaniard finished 19 seconds ahead of second-placed Dani Pedrosa, with Nicky Hayden third. After two rounds, Lorenzo leads Pedrosa in the championship by nine points, with Crutchlow ninth.
