Wayne Ferreira will edge ever nearer to men's singles history when he lines up for this year's Wimbledon. The South African will be competing in his 51st consecutive Grand Slam, which has only been bettered by Stefan Edberg's unbeaten streak of 54 from 1983 to 1996.
And far from winding down his career, Ferreira is in better shape than ever.
He reached his first Grand Slam semi-final in Australia in January and has been close to the top 10 in the ATP Champions Race all year.
He then beat Gustavo Kuerten on his way to the last eight in the Hamburg Masters on clay.
His record, however, at Wimbledon is not great for a player who should be suited to grass.
His best result is reaching the quarter-finals, which he did in 1994.
Famed for his often belligerent fighting spirit, and with a forehand that still packs a punch, Ferreira could still be a threat.
