Henry shocks poorly Higgins
A sickly John Higgins lost his all-Scottish match with Drew Henry at the Players Championship.

The 1998 world champion winner went down 5-4 to his fellow Scot but did well to play the match at all.

Higgins was sick several times before the start but recovered from a shaky start when he trailed 2-0 to lead 4-3.

But Henry, who has not qualified for the Embassy World Championship later this month, hit back to grab the last two frames for a famous win.

Quinten Hann, who reached the first semi-final of his career in Dublin last month, flattered to deceive against another Scottish hope Jamie Burnett.

Hann, beaten by eventually Irish Masters champion Peter Ebdon, lost 5-3 to world number 46 Burnett

The Australian was also warned by referee Colin Brinded for a four-letter outburst in the middle of the game.

Brinded, one of the game's most respected officials, threatened to put him on report for another indiscretion.

Burnett, whose best break was 71, now meets Ronnie O'Sullivan for a place in the quarter-finals.

Earlier Jimmy White reached the third round after beating Shaun Murphy 5-3.

White needs a strong tournament to hold onto his top 16 ranking and avoid having to qualify for the world championships next year.

The 41-year-old will play another veteran in the next round after John Parrott beat Stephen Lee 5-4.

The third man through to the last 16 is Irishman Ken Doherty, who beat Ali Carter 5-3.
