Ronnie O'Sullivan beat Wales' Ryan Day 5-4 to make the final 16 of the Players Championship in Glasgow. The world number two had to come back from 4-3 down, with a break of 83 giving the Englishman victory.
O'Sullivan will now face either Australian Quinten Hann or Scot Jamie Burnett for a quarter-final place.
Former world champion Peter Ebdon will face Scotland's Graeme Dott in the third round after a 5-3 victory over Stuart Bingham.
Glaswegian Dott sealed his place with a 5-3 win over Hong Kong's Marco Fu.

Six-time world champion Steve Davis is also through after a 5-3 win over Australian Neil Robertson.
In the afternoon session, world number one Mark Williams edged past Rod Lawler 5-4 to reach the last 16.
The world champion rallied from 4-3 down and a 46-point deficit in the final frame to pull through at the Glasgow tournament.
The Welshman will face England's Mark King, who won 5-3 against Williams' compatriot Matthew Stevens, who has not won a match for five tournaments.
