442 yards, par four The first hole provides a problem off the tee because there are no bunkers ahead of the golfer. It means the players will have to pick out a target to aim at during their practice round.
The fairway is full of huge undulations and hollows.
There's a big hollow called The Kitchen. If the breeze is coming from behind, then you can carry on past it. Otherwise, be very wary.
The second shot is onto a slightly unsighted green. Guarded by two or three deep-pot bunkers, the green is full of swales and undulations and is a little big bigger than you think.
It will be a problem to get close to the hole because it's extremely likely the ball will kick on from the second shot.
You can easily find yourself about 40 feet away and in three-putt territory. Any competitor would be lucky not to drop a shot at this tricky hole.
