Hole 14 at Augusta
440 yards, par four

Peter Alliss
By Peter Alliss
BBC TV golf commentator

Hole 14

The only hole on the course with no bunkers. It is a little bit of a dogleg right-to-left and is a good driving hole.

The green is the real challenge here. It is wide and deep with all sorts of humps and hollows.

It is a classic example of where you can play a poor second shot, 25 yards wide of the hole, but then you get the right sort of bounce and suddenly it comes back off this slope, back off that slope and you end up two or three feet from the hole, much to the chagrin of your playing companion.
