Phillips, the daughter of Princess Anne and captain Mark Phillips, has been honoured after becoming the three-day eventing world and European champion with her horse Toytown.

The 25-year-old, who was recently named BBC Sports Personality of the Year, became only the third rider in history to hold world and European titles at the same time.

Phillips will receive the award from her grandmother, the Queen, and is the first senior Royal to be honoured.
