Making tracks
Finding ways to fill time between games or during long journeys is part and parcel of life on tour for an international cricket side.

Music aids relaxation and is also used to provide inspiration.

But just what are the tunes that get the England women's team moving?

CHARLOTTE EDWARDS

Chesney Hawkes
I Am the One and Only - Chesney Hawkes

"It's pure cheese, lifts the whole team and I knew it would upset Cheesy (Rosalie Birch)"

ARRAN BRINDLE

Three Wise Men - James Blunt

"It makes me giggle and is a feel-good song for the whole team."

CAROLINE ATKINS

Heather Small
Proud - Heather Small

"A great song for reflection, so it's ideal for the team bus after a day in the field."

ROSALIE BIRCH

Ugly - Sugababes

"I've just bought the album and this song is one of my favourites. There's a great line about height which I thought would appeal to Isa (Guha) and Jo (Watts)! It's all about insecurities and learning to be happy with who you are."

JENNY GUNN

Janet Jackson
Together Again - Janet Jackson

"Nobody else in the squad likes R&B or hip-hop, so I'm not allowed to have it on - this is a consolation track."

KATHERINE BRUNT

Teardrop - Massive Attack

"It's good for relaxing and sends me to sleep."

LAURA HARPER

Pamela Anderson
Baywatch theme tune

"It was always played at the end of a Wednesday night in the student union when I was at university. Wednesdays were always match days, so it reminds me of cricket at university and having fun."

LAURA NEWTON

Queen of the Night - Whitney Houston

"I really like the tune, it's a feel-good song and always gets played loudly in my car when I'm at home."

BETH MORGAN

Basement Jaxx
Do Your Thing - Basement Jaxx

"It's very upbeat. I like training to it and do my weights to this song. It encourages me to perform well."

CLAIRE TAYLOR

LA Breeze - Simeon

"It's very catchy. I saw it on an advert, but chose it mainly because the youngsters said I couldn't have the Fourth Movement of the Choral Symphony by Beethoven!"

ISA GUHA

How's It Gonna Be - Third Eye Blind

"It's a song we always listen to when doing weights at Bisham, so it has cricket connotations."

LYDIA GREENWAY

This Time I Know It's for Real - Kelly Lorena

"It's really cheesy and it makes me believe in my ability."

JO WATTS

Green Day
Time of Your Life - Green Day

"It's a song that the Kent girls had (on tour) in South Africa and so this reminds me of that experience."

JANE SMIT

You to Me Are Everything - The Real Thing

"This should have been on our tour CD, but the recipient of the email was confused and a U2 track was put on instead!"
