India women win to level series
Second women's one-day international, Lucknow: India 163-6 (49.2 overs) beat England 162-8 (50 overs) by four wickets

India won by four wickets to level the women's one-day series with England at 1-1, but it took them until the last over to clinch victory in Lucknow.

Chasing 163 to win, India openers Monica Sumra (37) and Anjum Chopra (71) shared a 95-run stand but three wickets fell with the target in reach.

Pace bowler Amita Sharma took three early wickets after England opted to bat first in overcast conditions.

Caroline Atkins (34) led a lower-order revival to reach 162-8.

Atkins was last out, after sharing a stand of 62 for the eighth wicket with Beth Morgan, who went on to take two wickets.

Captain Charlotte Edwards said England could have snatched a second win despite disappointing batting.

"We got into a bit of a mess with the batting but Caroline and Beth got us to a respectable total," she told BBC Sport.

"It was very slow and low and our shot selection was not the greatest.

"But we fought hard, put in a magnificent effort and could easily have won it. There were a few dropped catches, though."
