  • 24.4% of men exercised regularly compared to 17.1% of women. Regular exercise differs between socio-economic groups with 15.9% taking part from the lowest compared to 24.8% from the highest.
  • Macclesfield is the most active borough with 29.3% exercising regularly, while Blackburn with Darwen was the least active with 16.3%.
