Chem Campbell salvaged a last-gasp 1-1 draw for Stevenage to deny Mansfield another victory.

The Stags appeared nailed on for a fifth straight League One success after Lucas Akins had netted a penalty on 78 minutes.

But with six minutes of stoppage time played, Campbell flashed a low shot from the back post through a crowd and beyond Liam Roberts.

The draw took Stevenage's winless run to eight matches.

Chances were few and far between in the first half. Akins had a long-range effort cleared off the line by Charlie Goode while a Jamie Reid goal was ruled out for offside for Stevenage.

The second half started with Stevenage showing more attacking intent and Beryly Lubala tested Roberts from distance, the keeper grabbing it at the second attempt.

Reid and Jordan Roberts then linked up well, with the Northern Ireland striker getting the ball back after a clever dummy, but his shot was scuffed and straight at Roberts.

Akins got his chance from 12 yards after a foul by Jasper Pattenden but his successful penalty would not be the match-winner.
