Rochdale climbed to the top of the National League after being held to a draw by Scunthorpe at the Crown Oil Arena.

Scunthorpe opened the scoring in the 17th minute when red-hot Callum Roberts fired in from range, his 15th league goal of the season and 10th in nine games.

But Rochdale hit back 15 minutes later, with Ryan East slotting in to level things up.

The draw extended Dale's unbeaten run to nine matches and moved them one point above promotion rivals York, with a game in hand.
