Altrincham returned to winning ways with a narrow National League victory over Eastleigh.

Luke Hutchinson denied a close-range effort from Aaron Blair before Altrincham took the lead when Tom Crawford found the bottom corner.

The hosts pressed for a second when Matty Kosylo fired over the bar and Olly Crankshaw blasted narrowly wide of the upright.

Josh McNamara made strong saves to deny Liam Humbles and Dan Sassi, before Hutchinson made two solid stops from Archie Harris and Harvey Saunders as Altrincham claimed their first win in six outings.
