I bet Mateta is feeling pretty sick. He forced this on Palace who since bought in two strikers. He's bought it on himself and will probably end up number three, or even four in the pecking order.

  3. Are Wolves building for the Championship?published at 21:10 GMT

With just eight points in 24 games, Wolves seem destined to drop down to the Championship and here is supporter Jason Guy talking about what Rob Edwards' side must do to be ready for next season.

So confused by Palace’s window. Need to have faith there is a plan, but feels like a lot of money spent on some gambles. Will the new manager in the summer get any funds?

I can't believe it, I got one over the line.

    My work here is done.

  6. Sunderland sign winger Angulopublished at 21:03 GMT
    Breaking

    Sunderland

Sunderland may be beating Burnley right now in the Premier League but that doesn't stop them from signing players!

The Black Cats have signed 22-year-old winger Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

  7. 'Palace having both Strand Larsen and Mateta is not a bad thing'published at 21:00 GMT

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Monday Night Club

With all that's gone on at Crystal Palace with Marc Guehi leaving and Oliver Glasner leaving at the end of the season, I think having both Jorgen Strand Larsen and Jean-Phlippe Mateta is not a bad thing. I thought they could get sucked into a relegation battle.

Right, might as well do a vote.

Is this the most boring deadline day of all time?

Palace think they've had a great window, by wasting 48 mil on Larsen, and having to keep a crocked striker who doesn't want to be there, well I mean....

I'm sure you're terribly sad to see Sam go, but don't worry, this not very eventful deadline day live text continues!

We're still expecting a couple of deals to go through. I hope so for my sake, I'm currently taking the wooden spoon home.

Right, that's my deadline day done. One that will live long in the memory, probably not for the right reasons.

We've had two whole Premier League incomings so far today, the expectation is that we'll get at least a couple more confirmed - surely?! - before the night is out.

Kalvin Phillips was and still is loved by Leeds fans, unlike many who jumped ship, I believe he was happy at Leeds and didn't want to leave. A wasted talent. MOT.

Look, Mr Watcher, I know Bobbie got the glamorous club-record signing but it's 1-1 on Premier League incomings now and when Luca Netz turns out to be the signing of the January window, who'll be laughing then?

As for Ben, I hate to put the blame for this dud of a deadline day solely at his door but given he got things started, it was up to him to set the tone so, ultimately, I think it is only fair that he take full responsibility.

People might not agree with me, but I think Conor Gallagher to Tottenham will be seen as a success. I think they needed leaders in that squad and he's certainly one of those.

I think it's unfortunate for them that they couldn't get the Andy Robertson deal over the line. They've been crying out for a player like that for a while.

But I think the Gallagher deal will be a successful deal because I think he's an excellent player.

Happy Everton didn't buy for the sake of it. Transitional year. Better deals in the summer. McNeil for £20 mill too. No relegation battle, calm spring for me.
