Peter Pan and the Lost Boy Gang

Read by Tom Forrister from the BBC Radio Drama Company.

In a rundown town called Neverland
Where crime was high and out of hand
With abandoned shops and dodgy people
Guns around so deadly and lethal
Many gangs down dark alleyways
Who caused all fights from night to day
But the worst of all who most destroyed
Were the evil, bullying lost boys
And the leader of them all who brought on the lot
Was Peter pan who was never caught
He raised the boys as if they were his own
As they had no parents and were all alone
But they were taught to hate on the innocent
And steal so much they were hardly munificent
They were so mean they stole from the poor
Causing havoc and much uproar
Until one day Wendy darling came to discover
And then she almost blew their cover
But her heart was too big and filled with gold
So the policeman hook wasn't told
Peter pan said 'we will steal her and she can teach us to be wise'
'So we can roam these streets with a great disguise'
And off they went to steal her back
With guns in hands and a big black sack
To steal her and take her back to their den
All was fine until then
They flew to the house and snuck in through the window
Almost silent and on their tiptoes
But they were too loud and the sirens rang
And so peter and the lost boys sprang
Because policeman hook and his crew were on the call
But the boys were quick and out the window they crawled
Running fast down dirty streets
So hook and his crew could not beat
But hook went and grabbed his car
Hi precious 'Jolly Roger' who was faster by far
The police had wanted to catch peter for a long time
Arresting peter was their very prime
But the lost boys were clever and so they hid
Under garbage bins they did
But peter didn't know about the tracker on his arm
That wendy attached before that set off the alarms
So the police could always know where he was
But was peter clever enough to outsmart the boss
The boys tried to pry the tracker from his skin
And they soon threw it into the bin
And they ran and ran for their lives
Firing their arrows and throwing their knives
As the police chased after that bin
Peter was sure the lost boys could win
But soon they stopped as they shortly saw
And realised their lives were on their last straws
As Wendy darling stopped and stared
The lost boys almost felt scared
But she smiled and held them out her hand
And offered to take them out of Neverland
To be their mother and raise them up
And all their mistakes they could clear up
As the boys went to the hook's police station
And apologised for their unruly actions
And Wendy was the sweetest friend
And that for us, is the end.
