Oyo state govnor, Seyi Makinde wey also be member of Nigeria opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don tok say e no no go support current President Bola Tinubu for di 2027 election.
E also address im kwanta wit former Rivers State govnor and current Minister of di Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and di palava wey PDP dey go through.
Oga Makinde wey currently dey serve im second term for office as govnor of Oyo State under PDP, yarn say im also get di mind to lead Nigeria as president.
Makinde say im party, di PDP gatz get back in shape so dem go hold ground for di 2027 election against di ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Meanwhile, during di 2023 election, Oga Makinde dey part of dose wey show support for di current President Tinubu - even though dem dey different party, but e say e no dey do dat again.
During di media interview wey e do wit journalists on Tuesday 23 December 2025, Oga Makinde say im dey shocked at how Wike dey do for PDP, as e also dey support di APC govment.
Di Oyo State govnor say as Wike get di right to support for politics, im also get same right to choose who e wan dey for.
In recent times, we don see Govnors, Senators and House of Representatives members for Nigeria dey defect from di PDP to di APC.
Dis move dey point to one direction say dem dey chook eyes for di 2027 general elections.
"Of course e dey obvious say di PDP don lose plenti ground for Nigeria. Check how many states dem bin dey control for 2015 and how many states dem dey control now," na so Lekan Ige, ogbonge political sabi pesin, tell BBC News Pidgin.
As PDP dey collect big blow sake of di current defections wia many of im members dey run go di ruling party APC, serious concern dey ontop how di party go fit unite ahead of 2027.
Howeva, di concern now be say dis defection fit lead Nigeria to enta one party system wey be say opposition no go even dey again, and according to Makinde e no like dat kain system wey wan comot democracy from di pipo.
Makinde address wahala between PDP and Wike
"I dey one meeting wit President Tinubu, Nyesom Wike, and odas wen Wike tok say e go hold di PDP for Tinubu against 2027," Makinde tok.
Di PDP man say e shock am say Wike dey tok dat kain tin for president Tinubu front wen dem neva agree on dat kain tin.
"I no dey beef anyone but di real issue na say I dey meeting wen Wike say to di president say I go hold PDP against 2027. E shock me. Wen we reach di corridor, I ask am say we agree to do dis?
"Di president no tell am to do dat, na e bin volunteer to do am. I tell am say I no go be part of dat."
For 2023, di kasala wey dey between di former Rivers State govnor Nyesom Wike and im party di PDP bin enta anoda level.
Wike bin tok dat time say im no dey support di presidential candidate of im party, Atiku Abubakar for di 2023 election.
Till now, Wike and PDP neva settle. E no long wen di party bin suspend am comot from di party.
Makinde say evribodi get di right to support who dem want, so make nobodi try impose anoda pesin ontop dem.
"Na why I no go support di president for 2027, Wike fit support am, e get di right but also I get di right to choose who I go support for di political space for 2027."
'I dey qualified to serve di kontri' - Makinde
Makinde say im dey qualified to lead Nigeria and also add say im don serve as govnor and dat na enough proof.
"Make I make am veri clear: to serve dis kontri for di highest level, I dey qualified - I even dey overqualified," Makinde tok.
Makinde compare im tenure to dat of President Tinubu wey also serve two term as Lagos State govnor, bifor e become number one citizen for Nigeria.
"I run Oyo State, even di current president, wetin bring am to di table? E be govnor of Lagos State for two terms."
"By di end of May 2027, I go don complete di full tenure as two-term govnor of Oyo State."
Makinde say di kain experience wey e don gada wen e dey young na anoda proof of im leadership quality to lead Nigeria.
