Natasha Howard is in the women's eight

Natasha, or Tash as she likes to be known, comes from West Runton in Norfolk.

She told BBC Look East that she was always determined to compete in the Olympic Games - she just had to find a sport which suited her.

She learned to row at the University of East Anglia in 1998 and competed for a year for the University of British Columbia, Canada.

She joined the GB senior women's squad in 2005 and in 2007 she won the women's pairs event at the GB Rowing Senior Trials.

She raced in the eight in the 2007 World Cup series, always reaching the A Final and finishing 2nd, 5th and 4th.

In the 2008 World Cup series she raced in the eight finishing 6th in Lucerne and 3rd at Poznan.
