ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਐਪੀਸੋਡ ਅਸੀਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਨਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਿਲਹਾਲ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਹ ਸੋਚੋ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਾਂ, 'be stuck in traffic' ਮਤਲਬ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਅਤੇ 'rude' ਯਾਨੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖਾ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ। 

I hate it when the trains are late. It's so annoying.

Rude people annoy me.

I can't stand being stuck in traffic.

ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਆਇਆ? ਇਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆਉਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਲੱਗ ਅਲੱਗ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਟਰੇਨ ਦਾ ਲੇਟ ਹੋਣਾ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖਾ ਰਵੱਈਆ ਜਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਟ੍ਰੈਫ਼ਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸ ਜਾਣਾ। ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ?

So they used the phrase 'I hate it when…' - this is a useful phrase to introduce something that you feel strongly against. For example, I hate it when people are late.

ਉਸਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਲੇਟ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। Me too! I hate when people are late Sian!

Oops! Sorry, I'm often late! The speaker also uses the adjective 'annoying' – 'It's so annoying'.

ਤਾਂ'annoying' ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਨਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਦੀ ਵਜ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣਾ, ਅਸੀਂ 'ing' ਲਗਾਕੇ ਬਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਣ 'annoying' ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ 'ed' ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਣ 'annoyed' ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਇਸਤੋਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਪੀਕਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਿਆ'annoyed' ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖੇ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ।ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਹੈ?
ਚਲੋ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
Rude people annoy me.

So the verb form is 'to annoy'. So we can say the subject  followed by 'annoy me'.  For example, 'Rude people annoy me'.

But remember to use 'annoys' with an 's' for singular subjects - So, 'my brother really annoys me'.

So they used 'I can't stand' and this is another way to say 'I hate'.

ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਰਿਆ 'can't stand' ਅਤੇ 'hate' ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ-ਤਾਂ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਨਾਲ 'ing' ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Yes, so you can say 'I can't stand being stuck in traffic' – or 'I hate being stuck in traffic.

Careful with pronunciation.  To emphasise how we feel, we stress the words 'stand' and 'hate'. Let's practise that. Repeat after me.
