Games to learn and practise acquired Irish

This site is aimed at learners of Irish aged 11-16 years of age. The games are designed to compliment the Irish they learn at school or elsewhere.

The learner can practise their vocabulary on a number of topics including; numbers, colours, animals, the time, the family, professions, the months of the year, food, weather, clothes, feelings and hobbies. They can also practise their knowledge of the past, present and future tenses.

The instructions for games can be seen by clicking the '?' in the top right corner of the game window. The language on screen can be changed from English to Irish or Irish to English by clicking on the caption button in the top right corner. Background music in the games can be turned on or off by clicking on the speaker icon on the top right corner.

The user can avail of other language support, such as subtitles or speak text by clicking on the 'Preferences' button to the bottom left of the game window.
