Spencer Brown
What is your show all about?
Nothing whatsoever. Most people seem to have a message in their show, but I think that Comedians aren't necessarily the people you want to learn from. Personally I've always preferred jugglers. I just find them far more insightful. Did you know that thinking is an addiction? I learnt that from someone who was keeping 7 balls in the air at the same time. If he had done it on a unicycle that show could have changed the world.
Where and when can we see it?
Pleasance Courtyard at 8.20pm throughout August, except the 10th and 17th if I remember correctly, but who am I to say????
Do you love Edinburgh or is it a chore?
Edinburgh's OK, the chore is having to tidy up afterwards.
What will you be doing with the other 23 hrs of the day?
Watching the clock for the show to come round again... oh it really will be a lot of fun.
What's the best thing you've ever seen on the fringe?
I once put a mirror in the front row of my show.
What's the worst thing you've seen?
Someone turned it round so I could see the stage.
What's the most curious thing that's happened to you in Edinburgh?
Someone handed me one of my own flyers and said I should see the show it was an unforgettable experience. Clearly, seeing my face wasn’t.
If you could persuade one VIP to come to your show who would it be? Why?
The Queen, the necessary security would entail an instant sell out.
If the Edinburgh fairy could grant your wish, what would your wish for?
Nothing. Actually, maybe I would wish for him or her to have a wish for themselves. That act of benevolence would probably get me more in the long run. Nothing like having a fairy on your side.
What advice do you have for first time Edinburgh punters?
Come to my show. Oh and try to just watch things and not perform, its cheaper. Gooodbbbyyyeee!
